The Maharajas Rock the Walthamstow Standard
We played the Royal Standard on the 15th October expecting the usual combination of poor audience turnout and audio drivel from the other bands. Luckily the other bands were quite good.
Ska/Punk band 'Stick Man Army' kicked off event with a Less than Jake/Mad Caddies style of meandering funky basslines and syncopated uppicking guitar. Their set was pretty good with lots of harmonies coming from the drummer backing up the lead singer.
The next band to play had keyboards in their line up which always makes me nervous but they were pretty tight and melodic.
We rocked the joint as usual. Shame the Standard can't get anywhere near capacity nowadays.

The Maharajas now have a Huge PA
We have a huge 3kw sound system to blow the heads off the audience members. How fun although at the first gig we smoked a speaker during our set. Never mind!
